There are few of us who are not affected in some way by the current economic climate and for most of us the focus is having an effect on the way we look at our careers. For those of us in work, with no evident problems on the horizon, we may be taking measures to ensure that we are ahead of the game, should redundancy become an option. We are looking to gain internationally recognised health & safety qualifications or to develop our range of skills in new areas to improve your career ie fire safety, environmental or construction to name a few.

Careers in health, safety & environmental compliance are remaining buoyant. Annual figures for the membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) are showing an increase since February 2008 so it is a positive career choice.
