Dubai Civil Engineering Manages Safely

 5th Sep 2008

Connaught Gulf recently undertook a large training contract for Dubai Civil Engineering.

As part of the Dubai Civil Engineering's HSE policy; all Project Directors, Head of Departments, Project Managers, Construction Managers and Safety Officers are to be trained on broad range of subjects, including Managing Safety, Accident Investigation and Risk Management and therefore it was decided that a suitable course was chosen.

As Dubai Civil Engineering HSE's Manager, Maziar Amouie commented,
"For this purpose 'IOSH Accredited Program for Managing Safely' four days course conducted by Connaught was selected. Connaught is an international training institution with more than forty-five competent instructors and worldwide coverage had commendable compatibility with our extraordinary training calendar. Connaught was respectful to (the) busy schedule of the delegates as company key players and they helped us minimize the adverse effect on our production. Positive feedback received from delegates from informative training materials and competency of instructors; encouraged us to continue with Connaught for conducting other courses."

The courses were well received by many of the delegates and the HSE Manager, Maziar Amouie, received many complimentary messages including one from Project Director, Mr.Venu Menon, who attended the course who, told Maziar,
"I sincerely thank you for initiating this course and I am sure that many of us took it seriously and reaped the benefit. What I thought would be training on hazards and remedies on construction sites turned out be an enlightenment in management, moral & legal responsibilities, welfare of workers, management / workers relationships, assessment of risks, evaluation of performance and awareness of environmental protection. The trainer Mr David Shearman handled the course in an excellent manner. His sense of humour and the way of involving each trainee made the course most enjoyable."

The 7th batch of delegates for Dubai Civil Engineering are due to begin the course this October.
