Ali Al Marooqi who studied the full diploma with CHSS Gulf in Muscat graduated at the NEBOSH awards ceremony held at Warwick University in the UK. in May. He is working towards becoming a chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health which takes 2 years of continual professional development to complete. Ali visited the UK to receive his award at this prestigious event which was attended by over 600 people who have taken NEBOSH awards.
When asked what it would take for someone to become a MIOSH graduate, he replies, "The studying alone is very demanding and for anyone thinking of taking the course, you have to be 100% committed to the subject and have a genuine interest in HSE. I was lucky to have such an understanding and the support of my family and of course my trainers at CHSS especially Mr. Simon Jones. For this I thank them wholeheartedly."
Margaret Jukes, Managing Director of CHSS Gulf said, "We hope Ali has set a precedent for all other Omani's interested in furthering their HSE qualifications. He is a real success story for us, having become a fully fledged graduate member of MIOSH in just eleven months. Although much of his study was done at home, he was fully supported and mentored by CHSS at all times, and we were always on hand to help at any stage during the studying process." |
