Connaught links with Fire Safety College to offer wider choice of courses
Oil and gas organisations across the Gulf are increasingly demanding superior, internationally accredited health and safety training courses, according to Connaught Compliance Gulf Services.
Connaught recently teamed up with The Oman Fire Safety College to offer a much wider range of services which will bring immense benefits to both existing and new clients . The agreement means that Connaught and Oman Fire Safety College will work together to provide superior training solutions to a broad cross section of the Omani population.
Margaret Jukes, Operations Director of Connaught Compliance Gulf Services says, "There is a need for O&G personnel to further add to their existing health and safety knowledge, as well as brush up on new health and safety related legislation and training techniques. To serve this increasing demand our two organizations, which offer complementary services, are now working together to provide full-service training packages for both local and international O&G corporations."
As the leading provider of health and safety training in the UK and the Gulf, Connaught Compliance Gulf Services offers in the Sultanate internationally accredited training courses including NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health). In 2005 over 23,000 delegates attended CHSS training courses either on an open course basis or in-house, and successfully gained globally recognised qualifications.
Although the company's regional office is in Dubai it is carrying out an increasing number of projects throughout the GCC, and the agreement will see its unmatched range of courses also being marketed throughout the area by the Oman Fire Safety Engineering College.
"There are a large number of regional employees in this sector, some of whom are trained in aspects of fire safety but have not as yet attended health and safety courses. As organisations we each recognise mutually high standards of expertise and tuition facilities offered as a whole, and the agreement will allow our joint services to be offered to a wider audience," says Ms Jukes.
Oman Fire Safety College specialises in providing fire safety, oil and gas drilling, training and education within the Gulf region, and offers both higher education programmes and industry-led vocational training, to international standards.
"This association is the logical choice for two of the region's premier training and education specialists to come together in a concerted effort to offer the widest possible selection of professional and vocational training to those involved in fire and health and safety roles," said the Principal of Oman Fire Safety College. "We look forward to a long and happy association that will benefit students and companies throughout Oman and further afield". |
